Developments at Arlington Municipal Airport
Together with multiple interdisciplinary, cross-functional teams across the City of Arlington:
Produced the financial analysis leading to determine the probability of success in the City’s purchase of the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) at the Arlington Municipal Airport
Instrumental in the development of the City’s new Aviation Fund, combining the FBO operation with the City’s aviation budget which had been housed in the General Fund
Helped develop an aviation financial analyst position, then interview and select, onboard, and train the new financial analyst
Deep analysis in the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) financials to help the team determine how to financially structure the E-space project resulting in $115m investment

Annual budget development and adoption

First awarded in January 2017 due to my efforts to develop the program

For the City of Krum, a Mayor-Council, general law city (which later became a home-rule city):
Provided financial oversight and leadership for the town’s eight department heads (at the time there was no city administrator; I reported directly to the Mayor and elected officials), and had a 3-person team including myself
Duties included budgeting of $6m, accounting, purchasing, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, annual audit, monthly financial reports to City Council, and many other ancillary duties
40+ funds included general government, enterprise, restricted revenues, debt service, and capital investment
50+ employees payroll
Served on the City’s home rule charter committee
Upon departing, convinced the Mayor and elected officials to hire a City Administrator/CFO to better lead a unified City financial and strategic investment strategy
Small town Finance Director
For the City of Denton Solid Waste and Recycling Department:
Developed the once-decentralized administrative functions into a cohesive, functioning team of people who provided payroll, administrative services, executive support, and data to the department leadership team
Took ownership of the weigh station functions at the landfill, improving service delivery and accountability
Helped the director conduct two sweeping reorganizations of the department within a 20-month period during 2017-2019
